Like the mythological winged horse for which it was named, Pegasus Therapeutic Riding, Inc. of Connecticut and New York has provided "healing hands on horseback" since the non-profit organization began in 1975.  Horseback riding provides vital therapy to those who are physically, mentally, or emotionally challenged.  The rhythmic movement of a horse's gait offers benefits not available through traditional therapies: muscles relax or awaken, confidence is built, and the rider enjoys a powerful and liberating experience that makes spirits soar.

One horse in particular—a 14.1-hand gelding named Jingle Bells, known affectionately as "Jingles"—has become an especially prized member of the Pegasus team.  A former show hunter donated by a local family, he is the ideal therapy mount due to his gentle temperament, excellent training, and quality of movement.  Jingles received the honor of being immortalized as Breyer's 2006 Limited Edition model.
